Akbuk is largely unspoiled by the major tourist industry and is a great place to kick of your shoes and chill!
Akbuk is just 70km from Bodrum airport and 140km from Izmir airport and is just 20km from Altinkum which is served by a regular Dolumus service.
Akbuk has a terrific harbour, great for fishing trips, or a boat trip to the nearby Greek islands, or just to buy fresh local fish.
There is a good selection of bars, restaurants, shops and supermarkets, but don’t expect a great deal of discos and nightlife!!
On a hillside location overlooking the village you will find the Akbuk Country Club; great quality accommodation, a country club feel, and stunning views of the bay.
